HOW TO MEASURE

BUST: Measure at the fullest point, ensuring the tape is straight across your back and not too tight.

BUMP/GIRTH: Measure across the fullest part of your bump, again ensuring the tape is straight and not too tight.

HIP: Measure around the widest point of your hip and bottom.

INSIDE LEG: The easiest way to do this is to measure the inside leg seam of some trousers that are the correct length. If this isn't possible, measure from the top of the inside of your leg to the length required - you will need help to do this accurately!

SKIRT LENGTH:
Again this is easiest if you can take the measurement off a skirt of the correct length - simply measure the length at the centre back from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the hem. Or get your helpful friend to hold the tape while you stand in front of a mirror!

TOP or JACKET LENGTH: Measure from the centre of your shoulder to the required length. You can also measure the length of a top that fits. Bear in mind when deciding what length you want, that maternity wear needs to be longer than non-maternity to sit at the same level. If you have a skirt or trousers with a stretch panel, the top will need to be long enough to cover this. Most people also find a longer length more flattering.

DRESS LENGTH: You will need a friend for this one! Measure from centre shoulder to the required length on your back – If you measure the front instead, your bust and bump can distort the tape and give an inaccurate measurement!  You can also take the measurement off a dress that is the length you want.

SLEEVE LENGTH: Measure from the edge of your shoulder to the required length. Or measure the length of the sleeve on another garment, from shoulder seam to edge of hem.

OTHER MEASUREMENTS: We are all different shapes, sizes and proportions, so if you know you have problems with fit anywhere else please get in touch and I will let you know if we can adapt a pattern to fit you better. Some alterations may incur an extra charge, but advice costs nothing!

NOTE:
Please do not use the " sign for inches when entering measurements, as this may cause your order to not go through, or to be processed incomplete.
Thank you for your co-operation!
