About the Clothes

General information about the construction, fit, and style details featured on our designs.

All the clothes are individually hand made to a very high standard, and to your specifications. When you order from us, the measurements you give are used to select the appropriate size pattern, allowing room for growth, and making any adjustments required to length etc - a truly personal fit! There are no short cuts to quality - our prices are so competitive because you are buying straight from the manufacturer!

Stretch Panel

The optional stretch panel allows extra room for expansion, and many people find them more comfortable as they are not restrictive. The fabric used is selected to match the garment colour and weight as closely as possible, although with a top to cover the panel they are not visible in wear anyway.

Garment with stretch panels still have the buttonhole elastic to allow adjustment of the fit.

Buttonhole Elastic

All our skirts and trousers, with and without the stretch panel feature buttonhole elastic adjustment. The elastic hidden on the inside side waist is simply adjusted by unbuttoning the top layer of elastic and selecting a looser or tighter buttonhole to give a perfect fit.

Our elastic is a complete loop sewn in securely at both ends to ensure you never lose the end of the elastic inside the waistband, and is of high quality to ensure it will not readily perish.
